Sukhbaatar Square, Ulaanbaatar We are young Mongolians who see our green steppes and... blue sky as the greatest treasure in the world. United with our conviction that nuclear waste is not welcome in Mongolia, connected with thousands other Mongolians through Facebook, today we come together to raise our voice. Our concern has been growing with the increasing number of articles in national and international media about plans to bury nuclear waste in Mongolia. There is also lack of knowledge and misinformation about nuclear energy and waste among the public. Therefore, we would like to inform the public about dangers of nuclear waste and together raise our voice against any plans to import nuclear waste into Mongolia. The event starts at 3 pm at Sukhbaatar square. All interested participants will receive information flyers, stickers and will get the opportunity to share their opinion through painting, learn how to make symbolic origami cranes and express ourselves through peaceful and creative ways. We encourage everyone to come and unite for a NUCLEAR FREE MONGOLIA!
